Alex is a Licensed School Psychologist and Registered Psychotherapist. She received her Master’s Degree in 2012 in Educational & School Psychology from New Jersey City University with training in both clinical and educational psychology. Alexandra has worked in school and private practice settings. She specializes in comprehensive psychological evaluations to aid in the evaluation of children whom are suspected of having a disability(s) or struggling in the areas of cognition, personality, and/or adaptive skills. She has administered evaluations for Department of Human Services, Division of Youth Corrections, various school districts, and private individual cases.
Alex has extensive experience collaborating with parents, educators and other professionals to build supportive, secure, and healthy environments for all children. She has performed classroom and play observations, created mental health, behavioral, and academic interventions, developed and implemented IEP/504 goals, accommodations, and modifications. Alex also facilitated individual and group counseling sessions where she utilized various models of psychotherapy including but not limited to: cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, mindfulness, grief counseling, interpersonal, and client centered. Additionally, she has run groups focusing on social skills, anger management, conflict resolution, coping skills, and problem solving. Alex also provides parent coaching, threat and suicide assessment, and supervised visitations.
Alex moved to Colorado three years go with her boyfriend and dog. She enjoys hiking, camping, listening to live music, and discovering new restaurants.
